The liquor that we sell here at dusty barn distillery comes from our own backyard. every grain that we use in our alcohol is grown on family-owned and operated farms and used to help create the perfect southern Indiana alcohol we produce. From our hoosier moon and casked corn to our rye whiskey and nocino, everything is grown and produced in house with love and care to create the great flavors in every bottle we sell.
hoosier moon
Our Hoosier moon is an Unaged corn whiskey made from 100% corn grown at our farm and distilled to 140-160 proof. It is diluted to 90 proof and has a soft vegetable flavor and accept other flavors well like cherries, blackberries, cinnamon, and other herbs.
Casked Corn
Casked Corn is a 100% corn whiskey that is distilled very similar to Hoosier moon. After it is distilled however, It is moved into a used charred oak barrel and is aged until flavor is achieved.
Nocino
Nocino is a liqueur that we make by infusing ripe green walnuts from our very own backyard and infusing them with high proof alcohol. It is then infused for 1-2 months, strained, decanted, and sweetened with simple syrup and diluted to 80 proof.
Bourbon Whiskey
The bourbon We make is a classic high bourbon with a mixture that is comprised of 70% corn with added rye and malted barley, all grown at our own farm. After distilling it is barreled in new charred oak barrels and is sold at barrel strength. The bourbon has a forward flavor that catches you as soon as it hits your tongue.
RYE Whiskey
Our Rye Whiskey is a mixture of about 80% rye and 20% corn grown here at our own farm. It is distilled to less than 160 proof and aged in-house in a new charred oak barrel. The Rye Whiskey has a more mellow taste that is attributed to our own southern Indiana grown grain.
Christmas Nocin0
Like nocino, our Christmas nocino is a liqueur that is infused with ripe green walnuts and high proof alcohol. The Christmas nocino is then infused with warm spices to add its Christmas smell and flavor and is also sold at 80 proof.
